This grassroots mother-and-daughter-founded sanctuary is held together by community and an unwavering passion for animals. They have saved and offered sanctuary to many equines including horses that were once wild, seniors, some with special needs, donkey and signature cow. Many of their rescues suffered from neglect, but now they have a forever home at Happy Rascal Ranch. We appreciate your support!

Donate
Happy Rascal Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and all donations are tax deductible. All donations go toward the Hay Fund for our horses and donkeys. We are Grateful for the support of the local community and beyond. All donations help, be it $13 (which covers one bale of hay), $20, $100, $500 or more. Anything is appreciated. We also accept artwork, photography, jewelry, etc. which we can use for fundraisers toward the Hay Fund.
Sponsor a Senior
We currently have 6 senior horses who require timothy grass pellet mash, senior grain, and supplements. When you sponsor a senior for $100 a month, which covers their feed, you receive a packet with a photo and a description of the equine you’re sponsoring and monthly updates. If you’re local, we invite and encourage you to come visit and spend time with “your” horse. If you’re not local, we will share info via email about your horse, and keep you in the loop.
Volunteer
Please contact us directly if you’d like to volunteer. There is always plenty of work to be done at Happy Rascal Ranch and we can use all the helping hands we can get! If you’re interested in volunteering your time or expertise, we have a variety of jobs including mending fences, unloading hay, dispersing food, cleaning, and shoveling manure.
Workshops
We invite and encourage artists, photographers, nature and horse lovers to visit our wild horse pastures in Pena Blanca. To get outdoors, enjoy the fresh air, and embrace your passion, being motivated and inspired by the herd. Contact us directly to set up a visit.

Consistent Volunteer Opportunity
Happy Rascal Ranch is looking for caring, dependable volunteers who can commit on a regular basis—either 1–2 nights and mornings each week or on a monthly schedule. This role includes both feeding our equine residents and assisting with mindful manure management.
